Russia Relocates Greenpeace Activists
Russia has moved a group of 30 activists and journalists detained aboard a Greenpeace ship in September to St. Petersburg from the Arctic city of Murmansk, RIA Novosti reports.
The relocation was needed as the body investigating the case is based in St. Petersburg, which is situated around 650 miles south of Murmansk.

The activists, including two Dutch, were arrested in September during a protest at an Arctic Sea oil platform run by an affiliate of energy giant Gazprom. They were initially charged with piracy, but later the investigators downgraded the charges to hooliganism. They could face a maximum punishment of up to seven years in jail, if found guilty.
