One wounded in explosion, Roermond
One person has been injured in an explosion in an apartment in Roermond, the fire department reports. A balcony came down because of the explosion, and the front of the building is heavily damaged.
Roads have been closed and the homes on the Venloseweg evacuated as the explosion, which happened at around 2 p.m., also caused a fire to break out.
The fire department has the situation under control. The cause of the explosion, on the fifth floor of the building, is unknown. The identity of the victim is not clear either, but the police are still investigating.
