Football kicked into crowd hurts elderly man
An elderly supporter of Go Ahead Eagles was taken to the hospital on Sunday after he was hit in the face by a football. He appears to have a severe concussion.
Immediately after the match PEC captain Bram van Polen kicked the ball into the audience out of frustration. The ball hit the elderly man in the face.
"It was an accident," said Eagles chairman Edwin Lugt. According to Lugt, Van Polen was "very shocked". The Zwolle captain immediately contacted the Go Ahead Eagles club. "He also indicated that he would like to come into contact with the victim."
