Dutchman killed in Panama drive by shooting

A Dutch tourist was shot and killed in the early morning hours of Saturday in Panama City, the capital of Panama. Another Dutch tourist was injured, the Panamanian newspaper La Prensa reported on Saturday. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague has confirmed the tourist's death. The victim was shot from a car after leaving a nightclub at around 01:30 a.m. on Saturday. The was accompanied by a number of compatriots, the newspaper reports. The injured tourist is a 27 year old Dutchman. He was shot in both legs and in his back. An employee of the nightclub was also shot. He died in hospital a few hours later. The perpetrators escaped. The Public Prosecution is viewing images from surveillance cameras in the neighborhood.
