Over 20 tips called in on Breda abandoned baby

The police in Breda have received 22 tips after broadcasts of Opsporing Verzocht and Hart van Nederland regarding the baby found in a black bag between two cars in Breda on Monday morning. Local residents found the newborn baby girl in a bag on Christiaan Huygenstraat, near the railway station and the Liniepark in Breda, around 09:00 on Monday morning. The baby was immediately taken to the hospital. Despite the time spent in the cold, she is strong and healthy and doing so well that she has already been placed with a foster family. The girl was born somewhere around Friday February 27th. She is a white girl with dark blonde hair. Her parents do not seem to come form the immediate vicinity of where she was found. The police are urgently looking for the child's mother as she probably needs medical care. The umbilical cord was still attached to the baby when she was found and it looks like no expert help was present at the birth. At about 08:30 on Monday morning a man knocked on the door of one of the houses on the street. He told the resident of the house that he saw the bag lying between two cars and asked if it belonged to the resident. He then walked back to the station. The police would like to talk to this man as he is an important witness. A witness saw someone coming from the direction of of Edisonplein putting down the bag and then walk back towards Edisonplein.

The baby was wrapped in an Ikea blanket.

The baby girl was wearing a sweater with the label cute baby. She wore pajamas with a sweater and pants underneath. The pajamas came from Zeeman.
