Police hunting escaped "violent offender"

The police are looking for Ali Benhadi, a violent offender who escaped from an institution in Den Dolder on Tuesday around 09:30 a.m. According to the police, Benhadi is on medicine, that was not at his disposal at the time of his escape. The police warns that this may affect the way that he reacts to his surroundings. He may be dangerous - the police believe that he is capable of gun violence. Ali Benhadi is 23 year old, 1.63 meters tall has a stocky build and a North African appearance. His hair was longer than shown in the photograph when he escaped, but he may have cut it again by now. At the time of his escape Behnadi was wearing a black Adidas tracksuit with white stripes and white Nike running shoes. Before his arrest, Behnadi lived in Amsterdam West, where his social connections still are. The police believe there is a chance that he may return there, specifically in the district of Bos & Lommer. He may also be elsewhere in the Netherlands. The police reiterates that Benhadi is dangerous and has indicated that he will use violence. Anyone who comes across him is urged not to approach him, but call the police immediately.
