Utrecht disabled woman assaulted with hypodermic needle
The Utrecht police are looking for a man who stabbed a disabled woman with a hypodermic needle in the city last week, RTV Utrecht reports.
The attack happened behind a flower stall on Kleine Singel last week Tuesday. The woman was trying to leave on her motorized wheelchair when an unknown man approached her. He was annoyed that she was in the way of him getting to his backpack.
When the woman tried to hand him the backpack, he stabbed her in the hand with the needle. The suspect then fled in the direction of Griftpark.
The police are looking for the perpetrator. According to the victim, he is a white, slender man around the age of 30. He has long, curly red hair, many freckles and a scar on the right side of his upper lip. He is about 1.7 meters tall. On the day of the attack he was wearing a dark colored knit cap, a green shirt and a beige vest. His shoes were light blue sneakers with white soles.
