Burglar caught making frikandel in Etten-Leur home

The police caught a very hungry burglar in Etten-Leur during the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers responding to reports of a home invasion caught the burglar cooking frikandellen in the home he had broken into, the Weerijs police said on social media.

“A bizarre turn of events,” the police wrote on X after catching the burglar red-handed. “After the burglary, the suspect was found frying frikandellen in the house.”

“He must have been quite hungry,” a responding officer said on Instagram. “We will not forget this anytime soon. It is really something special.”

The police arrested the suspect and took him to a police station for questioning. They also confiscated the frikandellen. “For evidence.”
